Shin - 2009 While I

Kyaaa, I know I'm late with this, but I haven't had much time lately. Sorry~!
So here's newest release from Shin, another solo album.
If you like Chinese rock and don't know Shin you don't even realize how much you're loosing. Shin is a Taiwanese rock singer. He was in a band called Shin too, a few years back. Since he left the band in 2007 he's focusing on his solo career.
His new album is kinda weird. First thing that got me little confused is that the album is full of ballads. It's not like he didn't have any ballads on his previous albums, but there weren't so many. But on the other hand there's a few songs with kinda heavy guitar in the back, so continuation of his rockish style goes on.
Album starts with ballad 回來. It's a beautiful ballad, but you can get very sleepy while listening XD Same goes to 不能沒有你. Okaaaay, there goes 趁我, title track. Beautiful, rockish, just listen to those emotions coming out of his voice. It's one of my faves. 獨領風騷 is my favorite for sure. Not only on this album but I think it's one of the greatests songs Shin ever made in his solo career. Chorus is so great that it's already my ringtone :P More rocky, more crazy. That's what I like. Amazing. 火燒的寂寞 was a theme song for Korean drama Brilliant Legacy. Didn't watch it but heard lots of good words about it. Not sure why Mandarin song is in Korean drama, though. But the song itself is boring in the beginning. Then goes guitar in the back in one moment and the whole song becomes really, I mean really good. Next song 追趕世界 can really trick you in the beginning. It starts with a slow melody, but don't worry it gets better later making it a little masterpiece. 靠背 is love. 再生, seriously, I'm lovin' it. 公主的迷信, again a rock ballad for closing up another great Shin's album.
Recommended~!
