I'm not much of Ariel's fan. But the album cover is so pretty, it reminded me of my trip to London and I realized that my best friend is gonna be there for the whole year... I'm not gonna see her for a year, that's sad... Anyways... I decided to check it out.
I really liked the first song 花一開就相愛吧. It's a livelier ballad, very pretty with a wonderful guitar somewhere in the back. But along with the second one there also goes some boredom. That's one of the reasons why I don't like Ariel's music too much. Too many ballads. Another track is 紙玫瑰, which is also a ballad. But this time not so boring. Uh, sorry but the next one - 美好的旅行 is just way too much for me to bear. Next issue - 百褶裙的夏天 is trying to give somewhat worldwide style. Little jazz maybe? There's that accordion or something. And it's even kinda interesting but how many times can you listen to that? Honestly? One is enough for me. I won't even say a word about 謝謝你 and 忽然這一秒 coz I don't wanna say anything bad... On the other hand 誰撿到我的夢 is so much better. But hey, surprise, surprise! The next thing - 天使走過身邊, another ballad is... good! Yes, it is and I can't believe I'm saying this right now. Kinda reminds me of Alan's old songs, just no folk. Too bad, the last song isn't that good.
It's not like after those words from me you have to stay away from it. Don't. I just can't take if there's too many ballads. I hate them. Of course there are exceptions, but not in this case. Sorry. But don't take anything personal. I don't hate Ariel, I just don't like those sappy songs she makes.
