The album is up. And YesAsia is fricking me out, coz they've sent me an email with a change of shipping's date twice already. First it was supposed to be on 30th of October and today I received another mail saying that the date has changed to 12th of November.
I really like to listen to an album when I get my own copy. It's such a bigger joy, but the thought of waiting another 3 weeks to get my copy makes me wanna listen to it now.
That's the reason why I won't write a review. But you can be sure that the whole album will be a great success and hit, so don't hesitate to listen (AND BUY! - especially the special limited version - it's soo cool!).

Edit: After all I decided to give it a listen. One Button is something new in GEM's style. But it's a great song. The next track is Good To Be Bad, the first single. I love this song so much. Get Over You is the second single. A beautiful ballad. GEM likes to mix styles, experiment with new things, likes to surprise us. Like with the next song 美好的舊時光. I dunno how to describe it. Very nice and pleasurable song, something like a faster ballad. You can describe 寂寞星球的小玫瑰 somehow similar. I was afraid The Voice Within will turn out to be Christina Aguilera's cover, but fortunately it's not (not that I have anything against CA, I do adore her, but sometimes you just shouldn't cover such artists - a fail is granted). Very pretty song, I like it. But along with 我的秘密 I start to worry. Why so many slower songs, where's the upbeat? Apart from that 我的秘密 has a beautiful melody and chorus. There're some guitars in the back and a piano. 末日 is a ballad this time. Pay attention to the background music. Wonderful! But I really want the usual GEM! The faster GEM. Twinkle II - an English/Mandarin song. "Twinkle, twinkle, little star" - remember that? It's like her version. I absolutely love it. Kay, my dream came true. Say it Loud is faster, finally. Not dance, but pop. Great chorus.
Summarizing - it's a very good album. Well, it's not a new thing - everything that GEM's doing is fantastic. But I must say one thing - too many slow songs. Even though I love every single one of them, there should be more songs like One Button or Good To Be Bad. But at least GEM's isn't monothematic. I'm glad.

About the limited edition - there's only 8000 of those, so hurry up to get yours! It's big so make sure you've got a place for it (coz I don't - my whole shelf is filled up with some crazy limited editions of various shapes ;D).

jak dla mnie płyta jest totalnie zajebista. szczerze mówiąc podchodziłem do niej dość sceptycznie, w końcu ileż można cały czas wydawać tak dobrą muzę, kiedyś musi przyjść jakiś spadek - tak sobie myślałem ;] ponadto nie jestem ostatnio na bieżąco, brak czasu i inne sprawy trochę mnie od tego wszystkiego odsunęły; w efekcie płytę wrzuciłem na mp3player z niejakiego obowiązku. i jeszcze ponadto - po Good To Be Bad, który jest świetny jak wszystko z "18...", spodziewałem się kolejnej w tych klimatach płyty. owszem, GEM nawet jak gra na jedno kopyto, ciągle jest boska, ciężko się nią znudzić. ale chodziło generalnie o zaskoczenie...
no i "My Secret" właśnie zaskoczyło mnie jak cholera. obawiam się, że to, co ciebie w płycie rozczarowało (za dużo wolnych), mnie w pewnym sensie zachwyciło. to nie są tylko wolniejsze piosenki... to są zupełnie inne piosenki, niż do tej pory; takie błyszczące i świeże :D tak jak piszesz: "GEM's isn't monothematic", a ja powiem więcej: ona niesamowicie rozwija się stylowo. normalnie w szoku jestem że istnieje tak zajebista śpiewaczka jak Gloria :)
podoba mi się każda jedna piosenka. 美好的舊時光 i Say it Loud są niesamowicie uzależniające, tych słucham ostatnio najczęściej. 末日 przypomina mi klimatem utwór z Red Cliff'a od alan; też uwielbiam aranżacje. co do Twinkle II - gdy zobaczyłem tytuł pomyślałem: "o nie! żeby tylko nie była to przeróbka twinkle twinkle". gdy piosenka się rozpoczęła myślałem: "cholera! to jest przeróbka twinkle twinkle" ...ale gdy tylko zaczęła śpiewać ("twinkle twinkle little star, can you tell me where you are. i've lost my way, a way too far, bring me back to where you are" - uwielbiam to), od razu mi się spodobało. taki noir. piosenka jest świetna; fajnie się rozwija, a końcowa partia wymiata! szkoda że trwa tylko kilka sekund, bo brzmi naprawdę zarąbiście. o innych kawałkach nie ma sensu się rozwodzić - wiadomo, słabych po prostu nie ma.
podsumowując, płyta przerosła moje oczekiwania (znowu!) i podoba mi się bardziej niż poprzednia. prawdę mówiąc to moja ulubiona tegoroczna płyta c-popowa, lepsza nawet od albumu Bibi, co jest nie lada wyczynem ;)
i okładka zajebista!

Nie odstraszy, ja lubię długie komenty - przynajmniej mają TREŚĆ ;D
Album jest zajebisty i to jest oczywiste. Ale jak słuchałam tego pierwszy raz - byłam przygotowana na typową GEM, tym bardziej po świetnym Good To Be Bad. Czyli na taką do potańczenia. No i dostałam takie coś. Ale dzisiaj np. jak sobie puszczę (bo póki co molestuję Pearl Jam'owską wersję Love, Reign Over Me ;D) to wiem, że inaczej odbiorę ten album. Mam trochę inny nastrój i wolniejsze kawałki mi się podpasują bardziej.
To pierwszy album, który zdecydowałam się kupić od niej (bo jakoś za to special edition 18 nie mogę się zabrać i wydać kasy, chociaż cena jest dokładnie taka sama ;D) i bardzo się z tego cieszę.
